How fees work
What you pay, how to claim it back, and what I tell you before we start.
Insurance we work with
Aperture is out of network. I do not bill Medicare or Medicaid, and I cannot accept them as payment. Many PPO plans pay part of out-of-network care, so it is worth asking yours.
Many PPO plans reimburse part of out-of-network care
Ask your plan about its out-of-network mental health benefit
If you pay yourself
Your fee for a session is given in writing before you start, and this site shows no price list. Health savings and flexible spending cards work. A few reduced-fee spots may be open, so ask. Please give a full day's notice to cancel or change a session.
Receipts for reimbursement
On request I give you a superbill, an itemized monthly receipt that a plan may reimburse in part. It carries a diagnosis code that your insurer will see. Your plan decides, and reimbursement is not guaranteed.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of your care before it starts. I give you one in writing. If a bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.
Checking your benefits
Before your first session I check what your plan pays toward out-of-network care and tell you what to expect. You can also call your plan yourself.
Questions about fees?
Ask before you book. I will explain how it works for your situation.
